Glass Sculpture by Ice-Beam Glass Sculpture by Ice-Beam
Like chipping and sheathing at an ice block, a modern sculpture rises to change the sky line.

It is a beautiful site. You should see it in person.
Or I should take more pictures of it.

Cool.
This is an old photo.

Awesome shot! I like the angle of it...I am thinking it is not street level. I am guessing you probably took this from one of the apartment/condo buildings on the river or the parkway?
If it is, you have an excellent view and I am somewhat jealous!
BTW
What are you shooting with?

Actually it was street level. But I was on my tipi-toes.
I wish I had a apt/condo on the parkway. So you don't have to be jealous.
But hopefully I will be moving down to city soon.

This picture was taken with a kodak v530 point and shoot.
Now I'm running around with a Panasonic Lumix FZ20.

I'll up grade to the SLR after I move into the city.

What are you shooting with?

:lmao:

Down to the city? Are you in Montgomery County or further? I'm left of the city in Upper Darby but I grew up in S. Philly.

That is pretty good for a p&s camera.
I like the Lumix, I was looking at that before I bought my Canon Powershot S3i. I really wanted a Canon EOS 40D but since I have not yet won the lottery, I had to settle but am happy I did. It is a great little camera.

If I may make a suggestion before you buy an DSLR, read the reviews on this site. [link]
They give better reviews than Consumer Reports and it is highly reliable. I used to manage a camera shop when I was younger and the happiest customers did some homework before shopping.

Northeast philly.
Yeah the point and shoot was definitky an up-grade from my disposable camera days.
(also in my gallery)
Yeah I was looking at Nikon D80 but like you I didn't hit the lottery, nor do I have a rich relative that would give me moeny for it.
For now I'm happy with my Lumix.
Thanks for the link. I will chaeck it later when I get out of work.
Thanks for the heads up.
I'll do my homework and wait for your next deviation. :)

Thank you. Some times we get cool looking skies in the city.
Might be the pollution though.

It really is something to see. The lights on the building change colors randomly or according to events going on in the city.
